International Music Academy

I have been taking lessons at the International Music Academy for 7 years, since 2006. As Markham's resident I know all private music schools in the area. The International Music Academy is by far the best music school for private lessons. Teachers and staff are very professional, caring, motivating, inspiring. The reception area is large, bright and comfortable. They have over 20 teachers with a lot of experience. Lot's festivals, competitions etc. Everything you can ask for! I would recommend this school to everyone, from the 3 year old child to the mature adult who is looking to enjoy music. Learning a musical instrument is fun!!!

The school helps the students get into competitions and complete RCM examinations.

My daughter has been taking piano lessons at IMA for several years. Teachers are highly qualified, friendly and enthusiastic about music. Staff are very courteous and accommodating. Our experience has been a positive one.

Teachers are great - even those who are not teaching me, ask me how I am doing learning the piano when they see me waiting in the reception area. Very positive, nurturing and motivating environment. I am having the best time in my life! And quite honestly, who cares that the rooms are small when teachers are making learning music so much fun! I also love the front desk staff - always very helpful and professional.
