(August 21, 2020, 1:34 pm)We had an awesome week at Eagle's rest. Steve and Gayle are great hosts, super accessible folks and go above and beyond. The handle on our boat trailer winch broke when we were unloading the boat. I had asked Steve about a local welding shop where I might take it for repair. The next day, while we were out enjoying the lake in our boat - Steve took the trailer to a shop and had it welded up for us.

The facility is clean and peaceful and the value for the dollar is a 10 outta 10. We'll be back for sure! -

We took a party of 5 to Eagle's Rest for a week of rest and relaxation and had a fantastic time. The value for the dollar here is great.
Like-minded people seem to gather here, so being socially distanced but still socializing was easy to do and so enjoyable! We found a nice balance of privacy and company.
Steve and Gayle are fantastic hosts, and the accomodations are clean and comfy; I look forward to return visits.
Visiting during Covid times meant things were a little different than in other years, Steve explained, but everything was super safe and clean and very well managed.
(One small note is to remember to throw in your own dish soap and a dish cloth.) -

Cabins spacious and clean excellent for fishing or hunting party of three with additional space for a child on the sofa. Docking facilities looks to be all new installation excellent accès. Outdoor sitting and BBQ area excellent and next to cabin. 1.5 hr drive from Ottawa once you have cleared city congestion. Madawaska river and Centennial Lake junction many places to explore and fish. Also bring a canoe for side trips on feeder creeks
