What delicious ice cream! The waffle cone was by far the best I have ever had! And the friendly Laurent is a delight. Well worth the drive from Ottawa and we will definitely go back. Merci Laurent :)

Really enjoyed the waffle cone. Upon next visit I will try the chocolate waffle cone. Only downside is the drive there is long; but it is a nice drive if that's what you are out doing.

Well worth the drive from Ottawa, approximately 46 minutes. The best homemade ice cream and cones I ever had. Friendly service and great service. Highly recommend. AAA+++ I certainly will return.

Drove from Ottawa after reading about it. I wanted to love it but it was not worth the drive. I love to support small local business but their ice cream is far too sweet. Sugar is prominent flavor. One of ice creams tasted nothing like it should. They would not allow us to have waffle cone with a single scoop... why? You have to buy two scoops to get a waffle cone. Their single scoop, as it turns out, is quite small (when compared to other small ice cream shops where a kiddie cone is too big). When my mom said she wanted to throw hers out because the flavor was so not right, they did not offer to replace it and even wanted to charge me to get a new flavor for her! I politely explained that most companies offer a replacement to make the customer happy. The manager said they don’t normally do that but would this time. Not great customer service. I really wanted to like this place, but I won’t be back.

Outstanding ice cream, there is nothing else quite like it! We drove to Cafe Laurent after reading an Ottawa Citizen article about how the proprietor makes fresh ice cream daily and makes his own waffle cones.

The chocolate chip cookie dough was very creamy and delicious. The owner kindly gave me a scoop of kiwi ice cream and it was fantastic! My kids tasted the kiwi and also thought it was phenomenal.

There is definite pride of ownership at this little gem. The shop is really tidy and well maintained, and the owner seems to be taking many safety precautions during the pandemic. The owner is very friendly and has a good sense of humour. The long lineup demonstrates the store’s well-deserved success.
