Hot Box Huts

We went to Gail’s Hot Box Huts as a family of 4 with two young kids aged 3 and 6.
We have never fished before and we so are not a winter family, but with Covid shutting down all our winter plans we were on the hunt to try new stuff with the kids.
We are SO HAPPY we did! We caught (and released) 6 fish! Gail and staff are so helpful. They drove us to our warm huts, provided bait and rods! Martin and Gail even showed us how to use the rods and how to bait the minnows. We didn’t have to worry about a thing. Fishing made super simple for people who know absolutely nothing about it.
Thank you SO MUCH for such an incredible first time, memory making fun experience.
Now, I can honestly say I’m looking forward to next winter to come again, hopefully the kids will last longer! ☺️

Really friendly people. One complaint would be they don't have enough 'vehicles' to truck people, they get way behind, so expect to wait, & go dressed for the weather outside! Huts r warm enough tho u only need a sweater & winter boots! Other then that we had a great experience!! Lots of live minnows for bait, included in price.

Was shocked how hospitable staff were throughout the whole day made our experience so much more enjoyable! Our poles never stopped getting bites caught a lot of perch! Definitely recommend Hot Box huts!

Great group of people running this operation. Donny and Gail make sure you have everything you need for a fun, safe and memorable ice fishing experience. Nothing beats local knowledge! Spent a day out on the ice in their warm comfortable hut with my wife and two kids. They even had facilities setup for use while out on the frozen lake. Can’t wait to head out with them again. Thanks for the great time and most of all thanks for putting us right on top of the famous Simcoe Jumbo’s....fish on!

What a fantastic day on the ice! Kids had a blast, hut was warm and comfortable, and we caught enough for dinner! Will definitely be back here
