PRO: He's not afraid of a challenge. Dr. Pitcher took on myself and our 5 children when we moved to this area and Care Connect had us divided amongst various doctors from Midland to Orillia that wouldn't meet our needs as a family.

PRO: He does listen. It took me years to feel like I could trust him to share my personal health concerns (and googled self-diagnosis) without being berated for "hypochondriac tendencies", and dismissed as I had experienced with my childhood physician.

CON: He's irritatingly patient. At first I mistook it as inefficient/passive, but, then I learned that he is a careful, diligent, and genuinely caring physician that sees his patients as individuals and is willing to help them discover how to manage their health individually. When I dismiss his expert opinion he doesn't get his knickers in a bunch...he's a humble man, that is confident enough to be able to encourage a follow-up appointment so, that when I fall on my face from denial; he's there - prepared for the follow-up support I need.

CON: There is only one of him, so, when he goes on vacation we notice and silently begrudge him of his right to be human and not invincible.

STORY-TIME: As a mother when my 6ft7" son complained of chest pain at rugby but nothing seemed to show up...his oxygen was at 97%...medical professionals figured it was pre-game anxiety. Our guts felt otherwise. There was an x-ray to placate the mama. His lung had collapsed and he had surgery within an hour. It was spontaneous pneumothorax.
Dr. Pitcher likes to be patient with his patients and whatever condition they are challenged with. He doesn't push people to get into the latest experimental bandwagon, but, he keeps an eye out and educates of future possibilities.

    He's gold.

Wicked doctor, listens, further investigates issues, get done what is needed. Call backs are lacking though - it happens.
