(April 2, 2019, 2:13 pm)I spent a decade at Sparrow as a camper and a decade on staff. After a few years hiatus I am thrilled to be able to return to Sparrow Lake Camp as a parent. Last summer, we arrived for Family camp the beautiful smell triggered so many wonderful memories and my kids felt at home instantly. My son went to pee-wee and loved the staff, the food and fun activities. I would recommend Sparrow Lake Camp for anyone looking for a traditional summer camp experience.

As a parent, I always felt so confident and comfortable sending my children off to camp, knowing that there is a "camper-first" culture, with staff focused on creating a positive camper experience. Once year after camp, I overheard my son tell is sister, "I like who I am better at camp." I couldn't ask for a better experience for my children.

I understand that camp is not the place for everyone. But if you love the outdoors, making new friends, going on adventures --- you should give Sparrow Lake Camp a shot. I can guarantee that 99.9% of boys and girls alike will discover that Sparrow is special enough to call home. The other 00.1% is missing out on a lot.
My best friend in the entire world is somebody I met during my second year at Sparrow. Camp kids are honestly the most loving and considerate people ever. Sending your child to Sparrow will teach them the importance of everyone and everything. You will be pleasantly surprised at how much your child will change for the better.
I can honestly tell you that my favourite day of the year isn't Christmas or Halloween or even my birthday... it's the first day back at camp :) Camp is so special, don't take this experience away from your kids.
