We recently purchased a home with a stucco exterior. The stucco was in need of significant work due to discolouration, vine damage, and the addition of a window. I spent two years contacting stucco contractors to get quotes and a better understanding of the damage as I have never owned a stucco home before. In the end I had eight contractors visit and provide quotes. The vast majority of these contractors seemed to be smaller operations with 1-2 workers. However System6 was the only contractor that came across as a full service contractor. My initial contact was with Gord, the owner. You will find Gord very pleasant, patient and knowledgeable. He spent several hours with us ensuring that we chose the right trim and giving us colour samples. One day he spent 3-4 hours with us just driving around the Orillia area looking at different homes to get a sense for colours, as choosing a stucco colour is extremely difficult. His price quote was not the cheapest , but nor was it the most expensive, it was a fair price in the middle.

The work completed by the crew was very high quality, they arrived when it was booked and stayed for three weeks to complete the job. The work was done in the Nov-Dec timeframe so they wrapped the house in tarps and heated the cavity so the work could be completed during the cold months. This was the only contractor I found that was set up to do work in the shoulder seasons. When dealing with System6 you felt like you were dealing with a full service company, they had a crew for equipment delivery, another crew for the actual installation, and then another for garbage and equipment pick up. They also work very closely with dedicated subcontractors for any framing or caulking work required and they will project manage all of the subtrades.

Finally, because our house sits high out of the ground, three layers of scaffolding was required to reach the peak, making a job site injury a higher probability. When I asked for a liability insurance and workers compensation certificate, the project manager emailed it to me within just a few hours. I have found with smaller contractors that it seems to take a while to produce such certificates and the job is completed before the certificate surfaces...probably because they did not have one, making the homeowner liable if anyone gets injured.

Overall our experience with System 6 was 5 stars in all categories. Incredible quality, friendly workers, excellent pricing, job was started on schedule and commitment to complete the job on-time. Overall a very, very pleasant experience. would not hesitate to use them again.
