Doran Bay Resort

Host was very friendly and informative about the area. The grounds are beautiful and being right on the St. Lawrence River was wonderful. Unfortunately, due to wind and water conditions it was not safe to take out a canoe or kayak. Recommendations: the bed in cottage #1 is way too soft (one of us slept on the futon), also just cleaning some of the cobwebs in the screens and on the deck would have improved the look—we cleaned them before we left). Water in the shower smelled like “rotten eggs” (?sulfur).

The owners and staff were all pleasant and quick to fix any problems. The cabin was perfect. I would definitely come back.

This is a great place to stay, especially with kids. We enjoyed a nice view of the water, my kids loved the pool and little park area. Cottages are clean and have everything we needed. We even enjoyed a campfire on the river. The owners were very warm and welcoming. We will definitely be going back. It was a great little getaway.

Great location! Right on the St Lawrence River, we watched the ships go by, took a canoe ride around the bay and tried out paddle boarding. The cottage was comfortable and had everything we needed, the pool was great on hot days and we were able to have a fire at night. The ship museum is amazing to look through and the owners are both very accomodating. We highly reccommend this place!
