Great place to work. Awesome place to visit. Multiple events. First visit was in 1977. Lived on road just North of the village as a kid. You could hear the train whistle and the native dancing at Nini Bush sight too.
Upper Canada Village holds the tomb stone of my great great great grandfather John McNairn ( my mother's side of family tree and UEL). War of 1812 soldiers settles in area of SD&G as farmers . Thus my descendants among them

If you have never been, go. It is a great representation of 1860's Canada West (Upper Canada). There are a few things to watch. The price for tickets is average, but don't buy a season's pass. For locals there are no deals for a pass. If you are eating, bring your own food for a picnic, or eat elsewhere. The food and drink prices are as high as Disney World. $5.10 for two bottles of water at the cafeteria-style restaurant! Same water you can buy for $3/case at a grocery store. Also the train ride is a separate fee. Go once to say you did it.
