Opening hours of the Ontario Travel Information Centre - Pigeon River are currently quite limited due to the coronavirus. However, this location is still worth a detour since there are a few beautiful hiking trails. It takes about fifteen minutes north from here to get to a stunning lookout on the shore of Lake Superior. It takes about forty-five minutes south from here to visit the High Falls on Pigeon River.

    Nice trails.
Another decent Ontario Travel Information Centre.
They have maps for all the parks and trails in Ontario. This is the only location that has an extensive collection of hotel, motel, tourism information for all of the province.

The only drawback IMO is the fact not only is it difficult to have cellphone coverage in the area, but instead of providing wifi, the authorities decided to block any and all cellphone coverage in and around the building. Why? Just why?

Lovely park and rest area. We enjoyed walking the trails to Lake Superior and also the Pigeon River waterfalls nearby. The bathrooms were clean and there was a lovely little gift shop with Canada souvenirs. Also vending and plenty of travel information.

It was closed when we were there in the beginning of November but was a great place to park for the Provencal park. The parking lot is big enough for patrons to go to two different parts of the park. We choose the Pigeon river falls. You start out along the highway and then you go underneath through large culverts. From there you take a Nice walk to the edge of the falls. Many other things to see also along the way. It's a must stop
