Thunder Bay International Airport

Amazing how they took out all the fast food and replaced it with local food options. Quite a nice little airport with a good layout. easy to navigate and great location to wait in, the bar is well stocked with local options as well. Free papers on the departure side. Super impressed.

The playground on the second floor next to the departure lounge did attract my kids. They go there to see their grandmother off but just forgot because of this play ground. The parking fee is acceptable. There are some car rental agents that you can take car right after landing, and their finish task at 1am ( Enterprise , I believe). There is also a public water tap next to these car rental.

It's an International Airport with decent connections. Code name YTQ. it gets too cramped in the summers given the increase in flights.. Needs a makeover A-Sap

Airport does not seem very big, but is hygienic one. The only one in the thunder bay city. Received good support from westjet staff and porter Airline twice, but not from Air Canada staff do not why. It is sufficient for the people living in the thunder bay. Does have good views from it. Has bus and cab facility from the airport.

Small airport, super efficient and everyone was friendly. The cards to carry you luggage are free (the states it's $5us). Food and gates up stairs luggage and check in on the first floor. Everything was super easy to find ,signage was proper and everything worked. Not crowded and crazy like most big airports. I like ten airport and the area. The fishing was great and in August the weather was phenomenal.
