Had no sleep for two of the three nights stayed with a friend. Both of us didn't sleep due to partying kids next to us all of whom were underage. Fortunately the manager was kind enough to give us a discount on the last night when she finally dealt with it after we had complained twice lol should be two stars but I am being nice.

There were many things wrong, however, the managers customer service out weighed the wrong and made this rating a 4 instead of a 1. Our air wasn't working, the ceiling was leaking and our sheets were stained with coffee. He did everything to make it right with our group, extremely apologetic and accommodating. It's hard only having a handful of staff normally when you are used to over a 100 ppl working, crazy covid times...Thank you for making our stay comfortable.

Wonderful service and accommodations. Sarah went above and beyond to help us feel as comfortable as possible after a long day of driving, and on short notice at the end of her shift

Hotel staff was good at turning over my room when needed. Clean. Friendly. Enjoyable overnight stay.

The one complaint I do have is when booking a conference room and it’s food service

As the organization I work for books multiple events in Thunder Bay over the year.

I enjoyed the set up and care taken in service for conference rooms.

But, some staff had comments that they could have kept to themselves

Ex; “these people just toss around this food like like they’ve never eaten before”.

Referring to some of the guests who had small children and getting seconds for themselves after feeding their children firstly.

And also coming into the conference room half way during presentations to clear out the food service tables. When some of our guests did not get a chance to eat yet , due them being presenters or helpers/volunteers with our programs

    And staff again having comments

    “Wasting food”

Referring to : late eaters after presentations.

Overall I would book our conferences again with Victoria Inn. As a few bad eggs don’t ruin the whole batch. But still taint the order.

But training on customer service for staff would bump this place up to 4 to 5 stars on no time!

    Thank you for the stay!!!!!!!
