We have sent our son to Elder Tree in Etobicoke from 18 months of age until almost four. Our son loved the teachers and we liked them, too. We loved the daily reports of what he ate and how well he ate, as well as photos from the daycare. We do not have a complain on the level of his care, and during diaper wearing there were no issues, either. We will miss the teachers and are sad that children did not get to say proper good bye due to COVID-19.
Things to consider for this daycare: admin fee of $1000 that you pay each year you confirm your child's enrolment. It is quite high and I have not so far met another family who had to pay that high admin fee in another daycare. March break week requires extra funding if you decide to send you child in that week, which I do not understand as Elder Tree is not tied to a TDSB school. Summer camp still has to be paid monthly vs. weekly like in other summer camps, which is too bad as it would be nice for families to pay weekly and pull out the child/children during summer holidays for the week(s) they will be off.
Finally, the owner deserves his own paragraph. We have been trying to get a refund on March break week as the March break was interrupted due to COVID-19. We understand that monthly payments for March 2020 cannot be refunded, but our understanding was that extra paid week for March camp could be. After number of emails going back and forth and promises made, finally Mr. Javid stopped communicating altogether, and the promised refund never arrived. Very weird and disappointing.

Choosing where your child spends their days is tough; Elder Tree Montessori, is the sort of place you want your children to be.

Over the last 5 years, both of our children have been students here and we are very happy they were. It's obvious that the staff care a lot about the children, and do their best everyday to make sure the children get the best start in education they can. The Casa classroom is bright and airy and the class schedule includes a wide variety of activities, even including French lessons!

Ms Alina, Parveen, Yolande, Smile and Molly all work hard day-in and day-out to ensure that the children not only learn, but have fun doing so in a supportive environment. Their caring and patient approach to developing children's skills helps ensure that they not only develop the hard skills they need (alphabet, counting, etc) but also that they develop the confidence to explore and learn new skills independently. We particularly saw this with our daughter who (along with her friends from Elder Tree who were also transitioning), while attending orientation for her transition to the traditional education system, opted to sit at a desk with books, paper and writing materials, as opposed to playing with toys throughout the classroom, which the other children had opted for.

One of the nice touches is the daily updates you receive. Most days you'll receive email photos of the activities your child is engaged in that day, and at the end of the day you'll receive a daily report that tells you most things about their day: nap time, meals/snacks, and even restroom use!

I can't say enough good things about Elder Tree Montessori; if you send your children there, you won't be disappointed.
