What I liked the most about this place was that this village was "alive"! Every person there had their own profession and was happy to share us some information about it. I surely recommend it to younger and older people!!

Lots of historical buildings to look at and stuff to see inside the houses. They bake their own bread and make lemonade (both get sold out very quickly).
The place has a feeling of a two-century old village, the only problem is that all you can do is just wander around looking and maybe feeding the sheep. Would be great to have more hands-on activities for kids, otherwise they get bored very soon.

Great spot to bring the kids to learn about history in Ontario. The staff was quite friendly and knowledgeable. Similar to upper Canada village but not quite as big. Worth the drive if you've never been there

I love this place because it brings me back to the old days and makes me appreciate what we have now a days that makes life a easier. The reason why it reminds me of the past is because back in the 80's i went on a few class trips there and it was fun, so I have great memories. Great learning experiences.

A little gem in North York (now accessible by subway), we've found it to be a very good way to spend a few hours while learning about how life was around 1850. Very educational for kids (and not only)!
Many interesting things to see, from a Mason lounge to the Mill which is quite a nice piece of engineering.
Kudos to the volunteers that are spending their time explaining and showing many of the village's features: the Printing House, Weaver, the Doctor's house... there is something for anyone.
As a suggestion, we would've liked to see more animals such as: horses, cows and pigs.
The only negative note - which doesn't have anything to do with the Village - is the fact that it's situated exactly under the landing flight path for the Pearson Airport. There is a plane flying by every few minutes.
In spite of that, I strongly recommend the place for a relaxing few hours and a bit of history.
