Hi Michael thanks so true to the Provincial tryouts are not sure
🏴 Flag as inappropriateI live right in the park our apartment buildings back right on to the ravine. It's so quiet. So peaceful.
🏴 Flag as inappropriateSurprisingly beautiful and huge park in the north of the city, where you least expect one to be
🏴 Flag as inappropriateVery clean and amazing hang out spots
🏴 Flag as inappropriateThis is mainly a picnic park south of Sheppard Avenue. It takes over from the Northwoods Park that ends at Sheppard Avenue on the north side of the road. The entrances of both the parks are exactly opposite to each other.
The park lets you drive your vehicle up to the end of the park. You can drive to your picnic area and park car in a spot near by.
There are many parking lots (five) in the beginning and the end of the park and on the way. Parking is not a problem here with plenty of parking spots to park your vehicle for free.
In addition to the main drivable road, there are two trails to exercise and thrill you. The short trail on the east exits on Langholm Drive, and the other one is hidden beyond the end point on the south (behind the parking area.) It is visible on the west side only after walking on the tall grass for a few meters.
Both these trails require sloping upwards, so be careful. They may not be safe for people who have cardiac problems. If your heart is healthy, you will be glad that you went to the top of a hill (at the southern end) to witness an eye-catching scene.
There are several picnic areas that may be reserved for group picnics. I usually go here for a walk, but I have seen people barbequing.
Whether you want to walk, jog, run, or cycle on a level road, climb up on trails, or enjoy a picnic with your group, this park will be your good choice.
