Oriole Nursery School

My children really thrived here.

We originally had our older child in a different daycare, which was fine, but the schedule didn't really work for her, and then we found Oriole. Our daughter went here first, and she really did amazingly well here. She started developing friendships really quickly, acclimatized really fast and really got a lot out of it. They had more of a focus on learning and enrichment than our previous daycare, and it really showed in her development. Our daughter seemed more engaged, and was ready for Junior Kindergarten when she started. She often talked about how much she missed Oriole. My son started right as our daughter left, and he thrived there as well. The teachers were really engaged with him, and while he had a natural inclination to language, we could see that he was developing really well there, and enjoying it.

In terms of the coop aspect - Oriole is a coop daycare, which means you can volunteer occasionally and get a lower fee in exchange. We really liked this aspect of things, as our kids got more of a sense of community out of it, and we had more opportunities to meet and get to know the other parents.

I can't recommend this place enough, or say enough good things about the staff. Heather, the manager, is amazing, attentive and caring, and we never once had an issue of any kind. This is truly one of the best daycares in the city.
