The Runners Shop

The Runners Shop is hands down the best place in Toronto to buy running shoes.

Expert staff will help you with the fit process (hint: what feels best is usually best for you!) and there is a great selection to choose from for your needs.

This is the only place with a good selection of track spikes and cross country shoes. Make sure you get them at the beginning of the season though, as they book these over a year in advance and they sell out quickly.

Excellent experience and customer service. If you ask for advice, be open to the recommendations you receive because these folks are usually right ;)

Amazing! Great service. Helped me find shoes that are perfect for my marathon training. Lots of space to practice running in the shoes. Patient and encouraging staff. Best experience i’ve Had in a running store since I lived in Boston! Highly recommend.

Safe space for diverse people.

Great selection of shoes (and can order any shoe they don't have on the floor from brands they have an account with), also have a really good selection of clothing and accessories. They do a great job of helping you find the right fit in clothing and shoes as well. Very friendly sales folks and new owner! It's tucked away from the main street, through clear glass doors and down some stairs to the left, right beside a sandwich shop. They also have a run club on Thursday nights and Sunday mornings (and they've got a coach with the group).
