Qing Shu Malatang

By far the best dry base malatang I've had in Canada. For western people that might see this restaurant on Uber Eats and are curious, here's what I recommend. Dry base, then select beef slices and beef balls for meat, then lotus root slices (nice and thinly sliced) with Yukon gold potato slices. After that, you're going to want to add bean curd slices (a must imo). If you want tofu, I recommend the frozen tofu because it's firmer and doesn't fall apart when grabbing it with chopsticks and or fish tofu (always get the fish tofu). For vegetables, I recommend broccoli, kelp and black fungus. Would also recommend spam and hot dogs too if you're extra hungry.

Don't skip on this! By far one of my favorite Chinese dishes. Can't picture life without malatang!

Its a decent place for a quick meal

This place is pretty alright. You might the ingredients that you want in your noodle and they will cook it and bring it to the table for you. The food is pretty tasty.

Be warned--all the Szechuan soup bases are very spicy! Everything is delicious and well priced. Great if you like hotpot but don't want to actually cook your own food.
