A really good visit. We also saw one of the Founders of the Museum fetching in supplies, a really nice person. The kids were energised and wanted to leave but I wished I had talk about his journey more.
π΄ Flag as inappropriateThe displays change. Lots of fashion books for purchase. Includes history of sewing machines in Hamilton area. Old videos. Top French, Italian etc fashion design history and shoes.
π΄ Flag as inappropriateSuch an interesting place to see the original clothing of a certain era. They change their exhibit after so many months, so it's very nice to visit more than once a year. Also they have very unique events as fundraisers. We went to the most interesting Victoria high tea, in celebration of Queen Victoria.
π΄ Flag as inappropriateIt was worth the drive from Toronto. Carefully curated collections in a charming building with a delightful host. A great experience all around!
π΄ Flag as inappropriateA gem of a museum. Each piece was described in very readable English and explained its place and influence in history. Not a large venue so not much walking. My friend and I who live in this region were so surprised yo find this hidden jewel. Also the downtown it is located in has been delightfully renewed. I felt like I was in a foreign country-in a good way. There is an excellent non-chain cafe a few blocks away.
