MAC Contracting

We hired MAC Contracting to remodel our bathroom. Mitch amazed us with his excellent problem solving skills, troubleshooting skills and customer service. He was always on time and open to modifications to the plan. He is possibly the most patient contractor we have ever known. We love our beautiful new bathroom and strongly recommend this company.

Working with Mitch and his team has been a dream. We took a half-duplex down to the studs and his expertise and attitude have been the key component in making the outcome more than we thought possible.

We started with three bids, MAC Contracting came in as the middle one but Mitch had a far stronger voice in recommending what is possible, advisable, and beneficial. We were looking for an experienced and knowledgeable partner with clear and concise recommendations for our first major renovation project. We started with a walkthrough with Mitch, our real estate agent, my business partner, and me. At the end of that walkthrough, we had a pencil drawing of what could be possible. We were pleased to see that a poorly laid out 1 bed 1 bath could become a beautiful 2 bed, 2 bath, brightly lit, open space. We provided reference pictures on Houzz and approved drawings via email, and primarily ignored the project unless he engaged us. His step-by-step guide of what to do now and next made the entire project simple and seamless for us. Throughout the process we had questions but no disappointments. Mitch consistently reached out to recommend improvements and opportunities to save cost or space. He kept our other tenants informed on impacts to them and upgraded things in the other unit as they came up. All of this eased the experience for us and our tenant.

Mitch tirelessly worked with the city to obtain our permits, this is a notoriously hard process here in Hamilton. There was a discrepancy between the zoning verifications and our purchase agreement from 7 years ago, Mitch provided advice, information, and a line-by-line breakdown required for our title insurance claim.

The renovation is complete and staged, we are over-the-moon happy with the process and the outcome. We are looking forward to working with him again and would highly recommend MAC Contracting and his team for any renovation project.

Should have hired these guys sooner. Everything they do is top notch. Over a dozen jobs completed for me to date, very satisfied. Customer service is great and they respond right away to your emails and phone calls. Definitely recommend, don't waste your time with the other guys.
