The Sconery

Yup, it’s gluten-free. I’ve walked by this shop a dozen times not paying attention, thinking I wouldn’t be able to get anything as I’m gluten free. Yes, they do say gluten free on their window, but typically that means they sell a pre-wrapped granola bar or something.
Well today I walked in and bought their last 4 blueberry scones. Still warm from baking and absolutely a heavenly light crumb, buttery moist to eat. As good as what I remember a GREAT “wheat” scone would taste like.
Go and support this awesome local shop and buy a box for your friends, just ‘cause.

Their scones are absolutely delicious, if I could get a cheddar and chive scone everyday I absolutely would! Their customer service is great and they always have a good selection of scones to pick from! The only constructive thing I have to say is that although the storefront is always tidy and clean, it looks a touch dated.

They carry clotted cream, which is so hard to come by here. The cream was just as good as the cream you get in the UK, the scones were buttery and delicious and the macarons were great. Also excellent and friendly service by the sweet young lady who helped us.

Oh wow... I can't believe I've never been here. I love a scone and these are legit scones (unlike places that make buns or cake things and call them scones). So many choices. So many flavours. Had to buy a 6 pack sampler just because I couldn't decide. Delicious.

It was a couple of hours away from closing. They were out of the scones I wanted. The young lady working that evening told us to wait for 30 minutes and she would bake some for us. Needless to say I was shocked that she would bake what we were looking for this close to quitting time. Came back in 30 minutes to a store that had the aroma of fresh baked goods and our order ready.
I highly recommended "The Sconery" not only because of the amazing products but especially for the unbelievable customer service.
To the young lady working that night, "Thank you" for a wonderful experience, baked goods but especially for your kindness and humble attitude.
