Puddicombe House

We stayed in Rogers Cottage, a lovely big room with a king bed. It's separate from the main house so very quiet. It was a great spot for a Stratford weekend. The food was excellent.

We went for a Sunday/Monday getaway and these days were very quiet since New Hamburg basically shuts down on those two days. The rooms themselves are a lovely combination of orderly and elegant yet homey. There is a balance between creeky doors and locks with an historical, lived-in feel and smell and the clean and tasteful decor. The breakfast service at 8:30am was as great as everyone says. We hope to return soon for dinner!

We got married here in May, and I can not say enough good things about this place. Nick (the manager/owner) is absolutely amazing, he went above and beyond to make our day perfect. Not only is he extremely down to earth, he has a calming vibe that, as a bride with hundreds of things on my mind, was invaluable. I was never stressed about anything related to the hall knowing that Nick would handle it. And he did, far better than I ever could have hoped. The staff and service are exemplary and the food was absolutely amazing. I have never received as many compliments as we did for our wedding, people were raving about how awesome the food, hall, staff and service were :) As I said, I could continue listing all the amazing ways that Puddicombe went above and beyond but take my word, you will not regret this venue.

We had our wedding reception at the hall and stayed at the bed and breakfast on our wedding night in early January 2019. Everything was incredible! We had a wonderful experience. Everything went smoothly. The food was awesome, and everyone we dealt with was very nice and accommodating. We would definitely recommend Puddicombe to anyone for a wedding, bed and breakfast, or both.
