Let me start by saying that I don’t typically trust mechanics . It may be unfair but I’ve had some really unfortunate experiences in which I later learnt that I was significantly overcharged or charged for issues that didn’t need to be remedied .
I first heard of Elmira Auto Care Center after I posted in an Elmira site looking for an honest mechanic and numerous people referred me to Phil and his team.
My experiences with this business have always been incredibly positive. I’ve had two oil changes now where they didn’t even attempt to discuss things I should do to my car , which I can tell you is a first for me . When I recently had to wait on an oil change , due to another individual’s trailer emergency , I was provided with my oil change free of charge . Finally I recently had a car issue that caused my car to die on the side of the road and contributed to me feeling an extreme amount of stress . By the time I got it to the center it was almost closing time , however , Phil took the time to immediately look at it and inform me that thankfully it was an inexpensive and easy fix. He could have easily taken advantage of that situation but instead was genuine and honest.
I’ve also had the pleasure of speaking with Kim at the front desk during two of my visits and found her to be lovely . Waiting on an oil change can be boring , even when done super quickly , but her engaging in conversation with me definitely helped pass the time.
I will definitely keep bringing my car to this center for future oil changes and all and any work that needs to be completed . This place has genuinely restored my faith in auto shops . I highly recommend this business and I feel confident you won’t be disappointed if you entrust your vehicle with them .
