Blue Goose Restaurant

This is a small, greasy-spoon diner located in a convenience store on the side of the highway. It is a favourite with locals because of the no-frills fare, and super friendly service. Great spot to grab bacon and eggs if you are close by. Bread is freshly baked.

Not easy to spot, it’s hidden away in a convenience store off of the Trans Canada Highway.

The onion rings were delicious and so was the turkey sandwich with gravy. My kids loved the grilled cheese and seafood chowder.

We all really enjoyed our meal at the Blue Goose. We will definitely be back the next time we’re in PEI.

Delicious food. Great service. Bakery on site. Daily specials which can include homemade soup. Most recently had the fish burger special which included soup or drink. I got the soup of course which comes with a homemade roll. I also asked for extra veggies intead of fries. My friend got the western sandwich with fries. Highly recommend. Check out their Facebook page for hours of operation if you are planning a specific visit. I think some days during the week they are closed at 3 and had Wednesday off to give staff a break due to limited staff.

Good, down to earth good food at this restaurant and generous portions. We were visiting and the crowd of local folks at the restaurant was a good sign. If there's one thing to try here, it's the seafood chowder. Absolutely loved the chunks of fish and seafood in a very flavorful broth. Just the right amount of cream so it wasn't too thick/heavy.

The only minor disappointment were the fries. We would have loved some fresh, local potatoes instead of the crinkle cut. Not a big deal though. Definitely on our must return list (for that chowder! )
