Mécanique Gilberto Inc

Moved to Montreal a few years ago and has been looking for a local mechanic so that I don’t have to drive 500km back to Toronto to service my car from my previous shop. It’s especially hard for a non-French speaker like me as it’s hard to describe what’s wrong with the car.

My friend recommended me to Giberto’s and I think I finally found it. Gilbert and his wife are great people and most importantly honest and fair. No up-selling and the rates are very reasonable. Gilbert also went out of his way to pick up a part for me from the dealer because they wouldn’t deliver on Christmas Eve so that I can have my car ready and safe to drive back to Toronto for the holidays.

I live in Laval and I go out of my way to come to this garage just because of the quality of service. It’s a small business owned by regular people doing an honest days work and not once have I ever felt like they over charged me for their work. As a young woman it’s something that always worried me when I got my first car, but at mécanique Gilberto I don’t ever have to worry about being charged extra for “things being broken” etc. The staff know me by name, and so I recommend this garage to all my friends and family and honestly I’d rather give my money to regular hard working people than huge corporations that see you as a number. I went here today for a service and had such a wonderful experience! They fit me in on short notice, did a great job on my vehicle, and treated me like family. They are honest and kind people who truly care about you and your vehicle. The price was also very good! I will not go anywhere else and will recommend to everyone!!!
