King Mountain Trail

Very beautiful hike to do in October when the leaves are changing. Is a great way to experience Gatineau's beautiful fall colours! Very nice view from the top, however very crowded with people. There is stairs at the last 500m of the hike that were slightly challenging. The rest of the hike is pretty rocky, so I appreciated having worn my hiking boots. Can easily so the hike from the main parking lot in an hour, we hiked from the penguin picnic area due to lack of parking at the main entrance and enjoyed a beautiful 3 hr hike! Would recommend!

Trail was an easy hike. The views from the top were awesome. Fall colors had just started would have liked to been a week or 2 later.

A beautiful hike. Takes about 45 minutes and has a few vistas. There are also flat rocks to sit and picnic. There are wooden steps to help with the climb. A relatively easy hike but some may find the incline a bit steep at places.

This is an awesome trail. I would rate it as easy/med as I completed it with 2 kids (6+2 years old). Parts of the trail and lookout honestly reminded me of Hawaii. It is not very long for the lookout at the end. Not stroller friendly.

I really enjoyed the hike up as a family activity. We went on a cooler day through the summer not thinking of mosquitoes though. It would have been nicer without being swarmed by the little insects!
