As someone who has worked in hospitality and hotel management for years, I realize my standards are higher than most. With that said - the Tilted Toque not only met my expectations, but exceeded them. The view was beautiful, the fishing was great, and we had way more amenities than I could have imagined. The cabins were fully-equipped and clean, and the lodge was a great hangout place for our group and it provided us the opportunity to meet other campers. Being disconnected (cell reception is spotty) was just what I needed, and all of the fresh air and quiet was so peaceful and serene. The sunsets and sunrises are some of the best I've been able to see in Canada.
Terry was a gem. He was attentive, helpful and pleasant from the moment he picked us up at the Marina. He never hesitated to answer our questions, share some good fishing spots, and whatever else could be of help to us. Toby (his dog) is one of the best-behaved dogs I have come across. If we had any need, Terry was there with a solution right away.
I can't wait to go back next year! If you're on the fence about the Tilted Toque - make the leap and do it! You won't regret it. I've already told all of my friends and co-workers about the place so they can experience all it has to offer when they get the chance.
We two families spent this labor day long weekend at this place. It was a really pleasant staying! The islands are river are serene and beautiful. The cabins are clean and cozy. We rented boats to go around fishing. The morning and evening scenery is amazing! Terry, the business owner, is a very nice guy who is warm and always there to give you help when you need. Strongly recommend this place to families and fishing lovers!
🏴 Flag as inappropriateThe Tilted Toque is a WILDERNESS DREAM!! The lodge itself is a piece of history and a great spot to hang out. We stayed in a beautiful rustic cabin, that was private and overlooked the river. We liked that we were able to dock our boat out in front of the cabin, making it easy upon arrival. Terry and Ethan are the heart of this place and treat you like family. They are extremely knowledgeable when it comes to the river, where to fish, and what to use to maximize your opportunity to reel one in!! We can’t say enough about our entire experience...
🏴 Flag as inappropriateWent to the Toque with two buddies. We loved it! Terry was a great host. On the dock to meet us as we arrived and always available if we needed anything. Cabins were clean and had everything we needed. Fishing was good and I got the musky that we made the trip for. Just bummed I missed the other 4 I had a chance at! I am hoping to go back so I can explore more of the nearly endless water available.

Site is gorgeous, cabins are impeccably clean & comfortable, Terry & Ethan are the most knowledgeable and gracious hosts around!!! They went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable and memorable!!! Remarkable fishing for anyone-from those who have never fished before, to the most experienced and adventurous!!! Canoeing, kayaking, paddle boarding and swimming to your heart's content! More breathtaking scenery and sunsets than your heart can handle!!!
Cannot wait for our next trip to The Tilted Toque!!!
