A rugged experience! First time going. Trails made by the people and wildlife that use them! Lots to look at. Amazing views of the valley!!

Was a bit hard to find. I brought my 1 and 3 year olds with me and it wasn't very young kid friendly. It was difficult to get them through the barbed wire fence. The grasses were really tall too. It seems like a beautiful area but I would recommend it for older kids and adults only.

Very natural Nature Conservancy trail. Must be good mobility to enjoy. Walk in off hwy 6 through native grasses. Then aspen forest and bush loop.

Beautiful spot. Lots of trails for all fitness levels. Be aware that people hunt there, especially during Oct-Nov. Met a few folks on the trails, everyone was friendly.

Great interpretive trail! I took an immigrant friend and he keeps going back all the time. It starts at the top of the hill where the old highway used to be. There is parking at the top which is on the east side of the south entrance to the quapelle valley. It is marked.

It's a nice trail, we followed the old highway for a bit... it feels almost post apocalyptic with the grass growing from the pavement. We then followed the east fence line down into the valley. There is a nice wooded area that is open enough to walk through many different areas. Foot traffic is well marked creating trails zigzagging through. The west side close to the highway is some times very wet and marshy. We followed the edge of the trees until we hit the hill /fence on the west side and followed that back up.

Lots of rose hip, sage, birds, birch, blue berries and other natural things to be inspired by.
