Cozy little place with a with a wonderful staff and seating. Diverse menu with. 3 course tasting menu. Chicken and vegetable soup smelled amazing and tasted even better. The lamb shank was so tender and fall off the bone. Deserts was painted was amazing. So much flavour. Not sure if it's made in house but either way, it was great. Will definitely go back.

It’s a local restaurant in Hockley valley. Nice lady to serve. Salmon wasn’t well cooked and chicken doesn’t have taste of pesto. Steak and pasta are good. Price is reasonable. Clean location and cozy, interesting interior design.

The food and atmosphere was 10 out of 10.... First time dinning there and the Pepper steak just melts in your mouth...no need to chew...lol....the staff are top notch, definitely will be going back.... It's worth the drive from Brampton.....

What a gem! We own a restaurant in Alliston and we are closed on Monday's as are most independent places. We like to avoid chain restaurants, if we are eating out. We have driven by Black Birch many times and said "we should try this place out" and have never had the time. This past Labour Day we decided to reserve a table. Love the decor, for those who have put in their reviews the decor is tired, it's unimportant. The $$$ goes in to the quality of food being served. And it's quality ingredients and preparation. Good wine list and I always judge a place based on how well they do a Caesar Salad. This one did not disappoint. Could taste the anchovy and the garlic, well balanced and it was not loaded up with those ridiculous croutons every other place throws on their Caesar. Had the beef tenderloin and the meat was cooked perfectly. The sauce/reduction was so flavourful it was beyond expectations. Now that we know they are open on Monday's we will definitely be back on repeat! Well done.

Great experience. Very quainte location and private intimate experience. Food was excellent and just the right quantity. Prices are very reasonable and to be managed by 1 front end staff service was great. Really liked that the menu rotates giving new opportunities to try different things. Definitely a hidden gem!
