“Absolutely wonderful cafe! I've been driving by for a few years and kept saying to myself I want to check it out. Finally went in today. Not busy, waitress was extremely sweet and kind. The food was well portioned. I find most breakfast places serve you a massive meal (such as a pound of home fries) that ends up going to waste. They have healthy options and soul food. The early bird special is an amazing price. The taste was a lot more quality than most places I've been to! I wish I went sooner; I'll absolutely be back! My other half and I have decided this will be our go-to breakfast place. Lastly, I heard this place was pricey? I found it an amazing price and paid less than I would have at other breakfast restaurants.”

“I stopped by to try the food because my brother couldn't stop talking about it. I got the Shepard's pie and ceasar salad. The salad was excellent, among the best I've had. The Shepard's pie had a hearty lamb stew that was scrumptious and the potatoes were absolutely exquisite, light fluffy and wonderfully creamy. Well worth the price.”

“We visited the Globe Restaurant today for a late lunch. It's been more than 30 years since our last visit, not because we didn't like the restaurant, but because we moved far afield. Today's lunch did not disappoint. Service was attentive but not overbearing. After being seated, drink orders were promptly taken. Our server then brought us warm multi-grain bread with herbed butter. My wife ordered the Arctic char and I wanted the brisket sandwich. As they had run out of brisket, they substituted sliced prime rib. This had to be one of the best prime rib sandwiches I've ever had. The meat was melt in the mouth tender, the bun fresh and tasty and toppings included aioli, lettuce, caramelized onions and more. My wife also enjoyed the Arctic char filet accompanied by whipped potatoes, broccoli, and braised cabbage. No complaints... great service, nice ambience and excellent food. If we lived closer we would definitely be back soon.”

For our mains we had two crepes, one with asparagus and mushrooms and the other was a Thai shrimp curry. They were both perfect and the shrimp were large and cooked just right. “Ahh! I finally found my wings shop! It's not easy being a wings connoisseur. I'm as picky as they get. Since moving to Shelburne in June, I have been on a hunt for a great wings spot to no avail. I tried Pizza Depot in Orangeville (and if you have read my reviews you'll know of my love-hate relationship with PD), but the wings were overcooked and had that "I haven't changed the oil all day" taste at this location. So my search continued. Well, I believe that search is over. I gave New Orleans Pizza a try for the first time last night and man they didn't disappoint. Nice meaty breaded wings without that greasy aftertaste. They were perfect. And the garlic loaf in a deep dish style. It was all great. Yeah I know. You might day, "Dude. It's just a pizza joint." Yeah, but when you have hockey season and man-cave libations, great wings are the trifecta. Thank you New Orleans Pizza for been the official sponsor to my beer gut and hockey night at my house. Ok look, their cheese bagels are so dense and tasty, whenever I’m driving north west of Toronto, I ALWAYS pick up a dozen and freeze them. The best way to eat these giant bagels is to toast them, add salted butter and drizzle with honey. I only eat two kinds of bagels. Montreal style, and Pete’s. “If you don't know whether to stop or not, park and come in - you won't regret it. Best burger around. Onion rings looked amazing, wish I had more room! Coffee snobs - they even have fresh coffee beans and a killer espresso machine! ???? The only thing that could make this place better is fresh cut fries. (I know, easier said...)
