Delicious subs. Friendly staff. Really appreciate the details in the decor of the restaurant and the seating available for large groups! The lunch box catering for groups is a cool idea! Keep up the good work!
They are pricey but their subs are good. You can really taste the quality difference compared to other sandwich places. However, I did notice that this location in particular doesn't put as much toppings on the subs as the other locations I've been to. Other locations seem to really stuff them. Also, this location forgot the pickle slice on the side one time, and another time I ordered they forgot to put the seasoning on the Firehouse Meatball sub causing it to taste like a bland meatball sub from Subway. I definitely prefer the Brampton location I used to go to before this one opened, and will probably return to that one instead if I'm in their area.
This review is based on my first visit. Overall I have a mixed response to this restaurant. I had the large brisket and cheese sandwich, which was fairly good. It was a bit expensive compared to a place like Subway but I did go in very hungry and was full when done.
I wasn't happy with the entire staff yelling "Welcome to Firehouse" every time someone came in, as it got extremely annoying while waiting in line, waiting for my food and during the time I ate. There was no customization options to my sandwich, so either the person taking my order just didn't ask or it is something you must be sure to request. I also noticed a few cold spots in my meat, so their cooking/reheating method isn't very good.
Overall though it was a good enough experience that I will be willing to try them again. The food was good enough, the service was friendly and the restaurant appeared to be clean. I may just decide to only go there though during slower hours or get take out.
One thing though that I really liked was the large piece of artwork on the wall. It is definitely unique and eye-catching while paying respect to not only the Raptors but Orangeville's lacrosse heritage.
Finally have a firehouse subs close to home. We showed up at closing on opening day and they invited us in and served us. Awesome food and awesome service. These are not your normal subs. Hot delishishness!! Try the new york steamer.
