Swiss Chalet

Orangeville location is excellent. Food always hot when served, staff always great and ofcourse food delicious.

Inexpensive meal and tastes good. Nothing fancy

Well... The kids enjoyed their food as always, but the wife and I weren't too impressed so we're gonna go half on this one. First, it looked pretty dead. The ambiance was quite quiet. Not what were used to from the city (Mississauga). The staff were friendly. Our waitress did try to go above and beyond in conversation which I always appreciate, so that was nice. Now the food. Meh. My wife didn't like. She got through her quarter-white meal but found the chicken dry and bland. I had my staple of half rack baby backs. They were the same. Dry and bland. My coleslaw also was not a as creamy as advertised and not what I'm used to. That seemed just like a container of lettuce. Our younglings were fine. Chicken fingers and mini burgers. Can't really go wrong there I guess. My eldest daughter (12), who's quickly becoming a food connoisseur like her dad, had wings and she said they were tasty and meaty. They looked that way. It's funny. I've had Swiss Chalet wings before at different locations and they were never good. This location was actually the first time I've seen proper wings so that is a plus. Yeah, so that's why three stars. Needs to be more lively and take some more care with the food prep. Staff were nice, but food is huge deal for us. That's why we're there. The kids were happy. The parents...meh.
