The food and atmosphere is really nice, good place to pay pool and have a drink.(pools on the lower level) Although it's unfortunate the last 2 times me and my partner have went with a gift card they could not take it because they were still switching over systems.. I'd hope it's all working now.
Had Watermelon Sangria shared with wife $23 good deal and Friday Happy Hour special. Fish fry was double Haddock nicely prepared with malt vinegar and fresh cut fries on Special. Would Recommend.
Wait staff were very friendly and helpful. Food...well I ordered the smoked meat sandwich and for $14 I expected a lot more than the tiny sandwich I received. However, it tasted good and the side salad was decent. I was quite shocked that although Don Cherry himself is a huge supporter of the Canadian military, his restaurant chain offers no military discount! Competitors like Boston Pizza offer 15% off to military!
Good food, decent prices, staff are friendly. Don Cherry has stopped by at times so depending when you go, you might see him. However, parking is scarce and can be difficult to locate at times and the facility is inaccessible. There are steps to get inside the door, washrooms are downstairs (fairly steep), and there is a bar and pool tables downstairs as well (nice but inaccessible if unable to use stairs). I attended here with my mom one night and had just gotten out of a knee brace a few days before and was still recovering from the injury. Was told main floor area was closing soon so would have to use the bar downstairs even though I mentioned a bad knee and could not take stairs. If there is an accessible way downstairs it is not advertised or easily spotted at all but I don't think one currently exists. Overall though I have eaten here multiple times and liked the food, while the facility is spacious and clean. A good place to eat (aside from lack of accessibility).
