Halibut House Fish & Chips

I LOVE this place, the staff are great, it's always clean, prices are reasonable and most importantly the food is delicious! Their burgers are the some of the best in Hamilton. This is one of our go to places.

Food was good and I had a friendly server but, I paid nearly $39 with 15% tip for a 2 piece halibut and chips. I stopped in after work so I was alone. The food was good but not $40 good!

Pleasant location and very clean. Had the scallopa and shrimp platter with a diet soft drink. Very pleased with the quality of the food and efficiency of the service. Nice to have malt vinegar. Perhaps they might consider beer at a later date.

This place is amazing. Food is delish and staff is so nice and attentive. Very clean. We always visit the Dundurn St. location. Cant emphasize enough how great the food is.

Okay so just ordered here from lunch through Skipthedishes and was quite happy with the results.

We ordered a cheeseburger and chips and a haddock and chips.

First of all. Those chips are fantastic, I would argue one of the best I've had in Hamilton so or that alone I will be ordering from them again.

The fish was great as well. It tasted fresh and was nicely cooked. The batter was alright, I've had better, but it was definitely good. But giving credit where it's due, the fish was battered nicely, not too much, not too little. It was just right.

The burger? Well my roommate nodded and said 'It was good' so as he's not an overly talkative fellow about food, that's a pretty positive review.

My only complaint is that they didn't send enough malt vinegar. Ha!

Will definitely order from them again
