Pete & Kay Diner

Breakfast portions were small for the price with mediocre quality. The over easy eggs for both my boyfriend and I were over cooked with no runny yolks. Pancakes were okay but I initially tried not to add syrup but the pancakes had a weird stale oil/pan taste so I had to add syrup to hide the taste.
Their dinner is definitely better and I would go again for their burgers but the breakfast I wouldn't try again.

Also, hosted my daughter’s birthday party upstairs and it was so fantastic! The homemade cake was worth every penny and the atmosphere felt like having a “home” party with friends and family but we didn’t have to do the dishes!!!!!

My boyfriend and I had an absolutely lovely brunch at Pete & Kay a couple of weeks ago. Food was great and reasonably priced. The space was so unique and service was excellent. I hope to rent out the top room for an event in the future!

Let me start by saying that the food was great!
As a huge fan of their previous restaurant "Jack and Lois", I was disappointed with the lack of that homey, warm feeling. There was a feeling at J&L like you had been there dozens of times, even though you had just walked through the door for the very first time.
This new venture has a few wrinkles to iron out, with one of the biggest being how to stand out and find it's groove while standing in the shadow of the many Westdale eateries... as well as its well loved predecessor.
