South Sea Restaurant

We have been there 3 times. The food is excellent but eating there takes a long time.
The first 2 times it took about 10 minutes for the server to show up and take our drink orders and another 10 to deliver the drinks, let alone take our food orders.
Tonight we waited 20 minutes and no server at all!
All sorts of activity for takeout orders!
Will not go back to eat in.
Suggest to owner that you increase staff during your busy times.
Spoiled our night out with friends who have been going there for years.
They did apologize on your behalf!

Greasy, delicous chinese food. Definitely my favourite chinese food place in Hamilton. We love the pan fried noodles, the lemon chicken, and the wonton soup, but everything we've ever ordered has been really good.

South sea is a very great small restaurant on Ottawa street. The food is always made fresh, and the veggies are always infused with flavour. I recommend the beef shanghai, the cashew nut chicken, Soo chow won ton with won tons on the side, and the Thai pineapple fried rice. I will travel across town for this place. Excellent, and the owners and staff are very friendly!!!!!

South sea is NOT accommodating to a picky kid who doesn't like her food touching, I asked her if I order this plate of food; pan fried noodles can you please put the broccoli and chicken on a small plate separately from her noodles? She said no. She will charge me 10.00 extra for both as a separate order. So I said fine. Forget it. My daughter only ate the noodles. The food was very good, but the waitress was not very friendly or nice, I don't think she knew what a smile was. This reminds me of why I DO NOT eat in the Restaurant itself. That and the place is dusty. But like I said, the food was really good.
