The Burnt Tongue

The BEST soup; especially for this blustery fall season. Great variety. The staff are super friendly and instantly made us feel welcome. I love the simple store set up (not fancy, but clean and down to earth). Service was fast. Fries, perfectly made, massive portion and shared among the three of us. The kale salad also looked yummy. I may try that next.

Amazing all-round experience: food was delicious and service was superb. A friend recommended this place for good vegan options. The soup, kale salad and fries were all delicious. My non-vegan family members were also very impressed. I will be back next time I'm in Hamilton.

Surprised how tasty their soup is! And filling! I can't recall the exact name but our soup had pork and a large size grain in it. Delicious. The menu is a little confusing to look at, but I think if you come I regularly you quickly get used to is and the coding. Service very friendly. Appreciate the simplicity of the side options, although I would of liked my apple chopped (just easier to share or munch on with others).

This is a quick get in and out place. No license to serve ... but... the staff is friendly, accommodating and let you try all their tasty soups that they rotate constantly. Reasonably priced... can't disappoint.

I’m not a soup person, but The Burnt Tongue is phenomenal. I grab grilled cheese or a burger on the regular, and ALWAYS get the fries. The service is amazing and the food is great. Fry portions are huge, grilled cheese are a good size and reasonable price, and though the burger is a bit small, it’s delicious and priced comparably to other take-out burgers (for a much better burger).

Call ahead and pickup is easy! Seating is limited but the staff really try to find you a spot and take care of customers as quickly as possible. I’ve never encountered sub-par service and I’ve never encountered staff as friendly as those at The Burnt Tongue.
