“I live in Dundas and love this bakery. Best brownies in town. In fact, I broke my own rule and bought a second one while having tea with a good friend. My friend had the lemon coconut squares which she said were awesome! Just a note that this is a cash only establishment so visit one of the four Banks at the corner of Main St W and Sydenham Road before you go. Great Halloween decorations! “Our first morning in Hamilton, we had to find our way around this town, which to us, was not the most charming city ever. But then we were pointed at Democracy to have a coffee, so we went there and it was great. Super nice staff, very good coffee, perfect pies/ cakes, lots of vegan options also. Also nice to go to with kids, they have some toys and they can put chalk on the wall. Very nice place!”

“Y'all been sleeping on this place. Classic coffee and donut place mixed with a truck stop snack shop. The coffee is actually pretty decent, the prepared sandwiches and salads are super fresh, the staff is super friendly, and the price can't be beat. It's super clean, has lots of seating, tons of selection for food and snacks, and the cute old classic diner vibe is perfect. It's open 24 hours too apparently! My new favourite diner in Hamilton. Edit: grabbed an eclair donut on my way out and it was absolutely delicious.”

“This was my first visit and I was overwhelmed by the excellent quality and selection of meats and cheeses. I purchased (3) flavors of sausage Tuscan, Blue Cheese & Pear and Curry - all were excellent. I look forward to making this my stop for specialty cuts and sausages. First of many visits - keep up the awesome work and quality. Recently received some large beef back ribs from the 50 market. These are often over looked as a rib option due to their large size. On the long weekend I smoked these for 9.5 hours to great results. Thanks for the quality meat 50 market and I will be back soon!”
