My husband and I went for dinner here on the weekend for our anniversary we were staying at the Oakwood for the night and wanted a nice dinner something other then pub food and thought this would be the place for it in Grand Bend. I had looked at the menu online and was looking forward to the Seafood Skillet. First off our server was great, friendly and knowledgeable. We split a large Sangria which was delicious and made fresh. Sad to say that my Seafood Skillet was anything but delicious. Over cooked and completely flavorless plus it was more like seafood soup. I was expecting a skillet of seafood for one as that is what this dish is called. Definitely not worth the $30 they charge for this. I'm kicking myself for not speaking up about it at the time but didn't want to ruin a pleasant evening and our server was great. I will probably not return due to my disappoint sadly, cute little restaurant though.

Service was great. Heather (our server) was very accommodating. We had breakfast and it was very nicely cooked with fresh ingredients like their homemade sausage patties. Really cool decor. It was an actual school house before confederation.

An adorable little restaurant in a converted schoolhouse just north of the Main st drag (turn right on Sauble River Rd and left on 81st St - it’s on the left side across from the post office, if you get to the TD Canada Trust you have gone too far), about a 10-15 min walk. Lots of parking available, I think (although we walked).

This is a nicer restaurant (beach attire not appropriate) with a small, but relaxing, patio, several tables on the main floor and a bar area downstairs. Everyone is super friendly!

They get busy so reservations are highly recommended. The food was good (we had homemade burgers and fries) although the menu is fairly restrictive as they don’t serve breakfast, smoothies or sandwiches after 4pm. Although the menu had lots of options, for a picky eater, this presented a bit of an issue.

The restaurant is on a main toad but surrounded by big trees giving the impression of a nature oasis within the town. The backyard has a river, benches and area for kids to run around. Very zen. Very beautiful.

There is a park further north on 81st for the kids to release any additional energy.

    Well worth a visit!

This is a really cosy restaurant in Grand Bend that serves a good breakfast. While their portions may not be quite as large as some restaurants, I am always satisfied when I leave. I would highly recommend their breakfast biscuits, which are absolutely amazing - but make sure that you go early in the morning as they do run out!

Just love the relaxing vibe in the patio at The Schoolhouse in Grand Bend! Tucked in amongst the greenery and trees, it is such a nice place to sit and have a nice meal with a friend or a loved one! You are literally 2 mins to the main intersection, but if feels like you are miles away! The food is good, the staff timely in their service and friendly. Skip the usual bars and enjoy a lovely meal!
