There is a pool, lake swimming, marina, rentals, and best of all the office has wholesome home cooked food. I'll be returning if I'm in the area for sure!”

“One of my favorite restaurants. Fine Czech cuisine with local and seasonal ingredients prepared like art by the nicest couple who love to cook. Funky antique decor. The owners are semi-retired and only open on demand and generally only on weekends. Reservations are required. Just leave a message and they will call back. Bring cash, they do not accept cards. There is an ATM at the bank in downtown Pakenham. Budget ~$75/ person. Food is excellent. We had Weiner Schnitzel (of course), Goulash, Smoked pork chop for entree's. Started with a fresh house salad - she sent her husband out to their garden for fresh veggies. There's a short list of good wines and Czech beer. Dessert are seasonal years as well. For us, we go back every year or 2. Always dependable and excellent. If you're in the Pakenham area, it's worth a visit.”

“My friend and I stopped here for a quick snack on our way home to Ottawa, after a long drive from Napanee on back roads. This was our first time to try Fabulous Fries. We were not disappointed. The service and food were great and the price reasonable. And, this place had picnic tables with shade umbrellas, so we could sit and relax while we ate our snack. Love chip stands like this!”

“Quite possibly the best fish and chips in all of Ontario. I don’t say this lightly, I travel for a living and fish and chips are always my indulgence all across the country and across the UK. I can’t stress enough how perfect the batter is and the chips are perfect. In fact, most of the places in the UK don’t come close to the Cheeky Chippy. The owners were wonderful and they should be proud of what they’ve created. Take the detour to come here. You won’t be disappointed.”

Parking spots are many and big, only thing is the turning from the road into the plaza is tricky, we had to turn left from march road right after a traffic light.”

“We stopped in for lunch on our way to a weekday adventure. No reservations but we were still seated right away. Quick and friendly service and the food arrived at our table in no time. I enjoyed a generous portion of mac and cheese with kale and mushrooms. My partner had fish tacos. We finished off with a Mexican chocolate cheesecake. Everything was delicious. Decor in the restaurant is very nice.”

“It's ok, ordered an Irish coffee that is advertised on the chalkboard and they were out of whiskey, I had the Brie crepe but it was overpowered by onions. The dessert crepe I ordered was called the berry and maple syrup crepe and all it had on it with strawberries, a few blueberries would have made it look and taste a lot better. The mushroom soup was very watery and had about three pieces of mushroom in it. I have had better mushroom soup out of a can.”

“They have the BEST pizza dough and sauce!! The Hawaiian with added black olives is my go to, second favourite is the butter chicken pizza. I also LOVE their butter chicken! Generous portion and includes deliciously seasoned rice and fresh made naan. They also make a vegetarian version of the butter chicken, because the sauce is vegetarian ???? The owner is also a generous kind man that helps local charities!”
