Good food. Good atmosphere. Good service. We were here for lunch after a morning of fishing. It was my husband and I's first visit but this pub is a favourite of my parents.

As a restaurant I give this 3 stars because the food is ok. They do have some things that are more interesting than the usually pub fair. We had the Cornish pastie which is like an Irish meat pie. The fish and chips are ok lots of batter and a bit greasy. I should've just had one piece! But let's face it, I think everyone comes to the Ashton pub for the drive, the atmosphere, and the beer. Love the fact you can get tasters. Love that you can buy a growler to take home, be sure and save your bottle though it's a 10$ deposit. So the beer is great and the atmosphere make this a great place to get out of the city and hang with your friends. The patio is even better now that they covered it and have netting up to keep bugs out. Also if you come on a fall Friday you can go across the lot to the Ashton farmers market and see some crafts, wares and veg for sale. Also it's worth it to go to the corner store across the raid for more local crafts, gifts and treats!

The Ashton Pub is awesome! There's a reason it's so popular and out in the middle of nowhere. The food is always delicious! The service is always fast, friendly and timely. The old-timey vibe of a Scottish/Irish pub tucked away in a little village South-West of Ottawa brings all the feels with it's home cooked meals and all its beers brewed in-house. It's a popular haunt for locals and regulars and also welcoming to first timers and tourists! It's accessible by snow mobile in the winter time and if you're lucky enough to get a cozy seat next to the fire place the comfortable ambience in the room could put you to sleep. No matter where you're from or how you got there it feels like home.

Great veggie burger and attentive staff. Ate here in the middle of a long bike ride and the staff made me feel right at home. The bun used for the veggie burger was quite fresh. I’ll be back!

What a great place! Second stop within 10 days, both for lunch. Once inside - lovely British style pub and once on the patio - wow, its gorgeous! The food both times was very plentiful and tasty. Service was fast and friendly. Their beers are superb, cold and flavorful. Can't wait to return for wing night
