Super perfect dining and room????????
Great service, good food - we will definitely go back.
Quaint and charming traditional country Inn located in an historic setting. We stopped for a quick bite and enjoyed great food. Friendly and knowledgable staff got us a fishing license in no time. From the looks of things I would also recommend the lodging as well.
Lovely old historic building, beautiful gardens and a front porch that makes you want to curl up with a cup of tea or a glass of wine. The food was very nice, and prices quite reasonable.
We went for the food only.
The bottom line: ask if Ruby is the cook. Then you are golden.
Staff: overall friendly and earnest.
Day 1, we thought that the fish and chips were the best we have had anywhere. We ordered 5 portions plus a kid meal. We made sure the cook, Ruby, was aware of our appreciation and told the staff that the food was better than a much bigger resort located not to far away.
The food was so good we went back the next day.
Day 2: Ruby had the day off but we crossed our fingers. Portions were easily half size either in the fries or the fish. We did not leave full. We mentioned this to two of the staff but it did have an immediate effect.
3 stars initially but then the manager stepped in when the bill came in. So 5 stars it is.
The building: extra ordinary. Worth a visit. It is practically a museum of local history.
The Perth calypso beer is also very good.
