“Went there our first night in Brockville. Great back patio on a picture perfect night. The food was first class and very tasty. Our waitress was excellent. She appeared to have most of the tables on the patio, but still managed to be attentive and very friendly. She also gave us tips for local sightseeing.”

“I eat a lot of fish and chips from a lot of different places and I have to say, it doesn't get much better than this place. Crispy batter, tender perfectly cooked fish, and the fries have an addictive seasoning. Definitely a little hidden gem worth seeking out.”

“The staff was really nice but the food was extremely basic. I think a lot of it was sitting around for a while and there were almost no healthy options. Also, very little vegetarian choices. If you want deep fried options, there are a lot. Again, the staff were really nice!”

“Very good service. Mix plate was more than enough food for one person. I got there just before closing so I didn't get to see the full selection but they served me anyways. I'll be back to try out other items on the menu”

“I love the eclectic decor, a little 50s and 60s with a dash of whatever. The atmosphere is relaxed casual and pleasant. It's a converted house and the layout is a little wonky. The tables and chairs look like something salvaged from grandma's garage sale but it works. The staff are just as relaxed and they leave you alone without coming over to bother you too often. They have these great whole grain panini sandwiches and they add cranberries for a tart sweet mix. Love them for a sweet treat. If you want a slow relaxed lunch try the Spitfire I'll be back”

Baboli is an great setting for an intimate lunch, close to the water front of Brockville. Very convenient if you arrive by boat. Dont forget desert!”

“World class service, food and ambiance. I will be back and next time I will be checking out the rest of the lovely town of Brockville. There’s alot of history there...apparently the first railway tunnel in Canada is there. Thank you from the bus driver of the German group that you so beautifully hosted last night September 26 2019:)”

“We stopped in for lunch. The owners have clearly invested in the business. The space has been nicely renovated. The high chairs are very comfortable. They have a good range of in-house beers and a few (maybe 3) guest taps. Service could be improved--our server did not let us know they had a flight option (despite our asking questions about several beers) and spoke so quietly it was difficult to hear what was being said at times. Unfortunately the food menu is quite limited, and more suited for lunch or snacks (mainly sandwiches and charcuterie plates). Hopefully they are able to expand their food offerings soon. The place feels more like a bar than most pubs do.”

“Tried the cod and it tastes great. Meaty and tender, and just the right amount of batter, not too much. The chips were good too. The car smelled great as we drove down the street to Hardy Park to dine at one of the several picnic tables there, as other reviewers have wisely recommended. This is an old-fashion chipper that reminds me of the ones in Ireland.”
