Black Walnut Bakery Cafe has the best baked goods in town. Everything is always fresh and delicious. For lunch, I love the chicken pot pie or one of the soups, which are always flavourful. The staff is friendly and the cafe itself is warm and cozy. In warm weather the option exists to sit outside. This is a great place to meet a friend for a cup of tea or coffee, have a snack and chat. Parking is on the street, but since Wortley Village is lovely, and a great place for walking, I don't consider that a drawback in the least.
Love, love, love. What is not to love! Amazing baked foods, unique coffees and delicious other foods. We have never had anything we didn't love. Catering is fantastic so that you surprise guests with delieious, unique treats. The parking at both locations is more than a bit tricky and scarce, but well worth the trouble!
Loved the vegetable soup. It even had lots of chock peas in it. Great coffee. Love the honey wheat bread.????
Home feel. Amazing treats. Literally soul coffee and treats. If you're not too cool. Hit this old school joint up, it'll definitely do you some good.
They also make an impressive amount of fresh baked goods daily, including the most magical of them all: the cruffin. It is the love child of a croissant and a muffin, filled with a flavoured cream and sometimes garnishes. My favourite was the chocolate orange one. It's perfect because it's not too sweet but it is full of flavour! They also offer a variety of tarts and scones. The egg scone (with an intact egg yolk on top) is delicious and creative
