Golden Lake Seafood Restaurant

We thought we would try this place for lunch and were very surprised at the quality of food and service. Excellent place for fish and chips! Very fast service and food was tasty!

The food is very good . The waiter should write down the order so he doesn't make mistakes. Don't know if he is new or not, he is trying. But until he is more comfortable with his job writing down things would help alot. And yes I did leave a tip I have made mistakes myself.

I cannot help with reviews on all the food on the menu.. But I can tell you that I ordered Haddock fish with a side of fries that came out to around $8.00 before tax, I believe. The food was good and very filling.. The very generous proportion of fish they give you makes ordering a 2 piece fish meal unnecessary (in my opinion)..

Atmosphere is friendly and welcoming and servers are fast and polite. Would recommend as a nice family style restaurant setting. Restaurant has both booths and regular seats.. Paying for your meal is done at the front counter when finished by showing your receipt.

Overall a nice, clean and friendly restaurant that I recommend and will likely visit again.

Awesome fish n chips. Never going back to overpriced Archie's and their lack of quality. I've had Golden Lake 3 times now, twice take out, once in restaurant. Everything is very fresh, the place is very clean and lots and lots of options and their batter is on par. I bring my grandmother fish and chips every now and then, she's 94 and is a big fish n chips fan, she also gives them 5 stars with the halibut!

Oh boy do my wife and I love this place for fish and chips. I find their prices a little more that I would like but we still keep coming back for some halibut and onion rings. They gave me my food one night and I forgot to pay, I couldn't leave without so went back to pay because it is such a homely place that I didn't want to cheap them out.
