Jack Astor's Bar & Grill

We ordered through skipthedishes. Nachos were delicious very, very delicious. We were very pleased with the delivery timing and service as well. The 3 star review though is for the side salad we ordered. $7 for a few pieces of lettuce and a couple tomatoes. I was extremely surprised at how small and lacking this was. I would never recommend ordering the salad. Such a waste of money. I tried to add a photo to show.

Big open space that gets packed on the weekends, and during the week. Mitch is the best bartender! Great place to start your evening, or wind down after shopping, or a movie, due to the fact white oaks is right there.

We had a good time. The wait was non existent. The food was delicious. The fish and chips order was very large but we discovered the piece of fish was mostly batter. One glitch was our server dropped a dish which splashed food on the floor and my leg. He was genuinely apologetic. It was clearly an accident. I wasn't angry at all. He asked if we wanted a dessert which would be complimentary. I did and it was great. Will definitely go back ????

Very busy, crowded and noisy place. However there is a lovely Patio with some quiet Tables for two. They have heaters for when the Sun went down which kept it a comfortable experience. Good selections of wines, including Italian. Jack Astor's Chicken Fingers are real chicken, crisply fried yet moist and succulent inside. Devine! The Caesar side salad had seen better days, limp and drenched in bottled dressing. Service was smart and attentive.

Best fajitas, what I really liked, was getting 3 different sauces you put on that came in these cute little super clean, cold right from the fridge sauces. I hate when a restaurant leaves a bucket/tray of dirty sticky bottles of sauces sitting out in the warm all day. The fajitas came with the usual sour cream, salsa, cheese, but also shredded lettuce, lime, and we added guacamole that had good flavour, steak was tender and cooked the way we wanted. Staff is really nice, manager checked in and made sure everything was great. The patio is lovely, fully shaded area to enjoy the weather but not the sun, with lots of plants and flowers. We'll be returning soon since on the way out we got a crayon that has different prizes on them, we got a kids eats free coupon, so today we enjoyed lunch ourselves but next time we'll bring the kiddos.
