Strathroy Ale House and Pubclock tower

A great place for lunch dinner or a drink. Wonderful menu and helpful staff

5 stars for the excellent server. 3 stars for the food. I believe the ale house thinks they are along the Seine River in some far off land. A pub is a pub, and when you go to a pub you expect simple Pub fair. The management is just trying to be to fancy. Simple food is cheap, simple food with to much flair is not. Fish n chips 20$.. that's a little crazy when you're paying way too much for a pint as it is. The menu is a collection of kitchen nightmares gastro disasters. I did indulge in the fish n chips as I was there. For the price I truly expected to be blown away. Dreary previously frozen fish. For a town that's sandwiched in between two of the great lakes. You would wonder why there was no fresh pickerel, or fresh perch. It would only make sense. Though looking at the menu in a pub and scratching my head. I realize I'm in bizarro pub world and nothing is as it seems.

A hidden gem in a small town.... There is a hotel upstairs.... Great for a quiet romantic night away from the kids.

Food was fantastic, servers were awesome, atmosphere was comfortable and cozy. My husband and I thourourly enjoyed dining here tonight. A beautiful spot in a lovely community ❤️.

A whole hockey team & families arrived for dinner. We had a reservation, and were seated & drink orders taken promptly. Bison burgers, taco pizza & pecan chicken salad were ordered. Everyone greatly enjoyed their meal! Will definitely go back. Friendly servers, fast service. The team was served first, followed by parents. We'd requested that because they had another game after dinner. Definitely recommend this restaurant & pub.
