“I tagged along with a friend to do some maintenance on his cottage and, on our way back home, we stopped for a late lunch at a place that he recommended, Captain George's Fish & Chips. He ordered the fish & chips but I forgot what type of fish (haddock, cod, or other). It looked really good, with a decent size piece of fish, chunky fries, and coleslaw. Wanting something different, I ordered the gyros dinner, served with fries, Greek salad, and tzatziki. The salad was good and the fries were nice and crispy but I was a little disappointed with the gyros. Instead of the freshly carved cones of meat off a rotisserie, it was pre sliced pieces of meat, kinda like what you might buy in a supermarket. It wasn't bad but not what I expected from a restaurant. Lesson learned. When at a fish & chips restaurant in cottage country, order the fish & chips!”

“Went with the owners suggestion which was Jims Combo. It was a little on the pricey side ($24 medium including tax and pop). You could taste the freshness in the ingredients. The crust was unique but good. Thought there could be a little more sauce so would suggests ordering extra sauce. It stands out in the Top when compared against chain pizzas. I would come back again.”

I mean, the large assorted on cheese bread, extra cheese, lettuce, tomato, onions, banana peppers, extra sub sauce, mayo, salt and pepper ...and the true secret, are you ready for this? A bit of pizza sauce on top of the meat! Come on now, don't knock it until you try it! ...simple atmosphere and some amazing and friendly employees work at this particular location! “Placed an order on a busy Saturday evening. Mistakes happen. Wrong topping. One I unfortunately do not like at all. Found out when I got home. The downside is the number for the store is a call centre who I guess are programmed to offer you a $3 discount off next pizza only. When you just bought an XL pizza that you are not going to eat, a $3 discount is not really the best way to rectify. Call centre unwilling to exchange pizza / order correct one. Very scripted. Went to store the next morning . Returned Pizza. I was all prepared for a debate. However, made me the correct one without any fuss at all. Very polite and apologetic for what had happened. So great store / great staff. Call centre as useful as a chocolate fire guard”

“We went in on a Friday afternoon and had the buffet. The food would have been excellent but unfortunately it was barely warm. The gentleman working checked the buffet and realized the water levels under the hot plates was so low it was not heating the units and he adjusted them immediately. The service was really great and very friendly. I hope they get more business as we were the only ones in the restaurant.”

“Have been here twice now and both times I received great service. Such a great little spot with a nice cool vibe and cute patio. So the food is fantastic! Best Ruben I have ever had. Menu features classic deli style soups, salads and sandwiches with a sophisticated twist but without over doing it. It's still deli food, but better. I will be back for sure. I need to try some of the cocktails they seem to have some great options. If word gets out too much about how great the food and service are I'm thinking they are going to need a bigger spot. ;)”

“Unique find in Coburg. Once you step inside you feel like your are in a completely different city. Speakeasy wooden interior vibe inside. Small menu, but absolutely delicious items. It was very difficult to choose which meal I wanted. Chef really knows what they are doing. Great craft/local beers on tap and tasty unique cocktails. I saved a name of a brewery to seek out the beer for future purchase. Too bad they aren't open Monday or Tuesday. See you next time!”

“Wow, first time here and the food, service and ambiance is wonderful. We ordered the tirokafteri dip to start (a spiced, whipped feta cheese dip with pita) to start. It was so good I ordered more to take home. The meals are a great size for the inexpensive price. Served hot by a very friendly woman. Warning...only eat here if you love food!”
