Al Jabal Bakery

This establishment definitely deserves the five stars I’ve given them. The second I walked in they were full of smiles and asking how my day was going. I proceeded to order and the person at the front gave me a suggestion to try some of the other food products that they had made. I of course couldn’t say no so I bought a few. Now I’ve been going here since 2013 and never once have I been asked if I was eating there or taking it to-go which isn’t a problem with me at all because I enjoy eating out of the paper bags since it collects the grease or the meat that falls out. Once I paid for my things he asked if I was eating there or to-go and I said I’d be eating there to stay out of the cold. He told me to go sit down and he would bring me my stuff. I was shocked of course because I’ve never had that kind of service at that establishment before. I sat down and he came walking towards me with the biggest smile and a tray in his hands. He set it down and I quickly realized he put napkins there for me and not just on the tray but In a napkin holder, then as another customer came to the counter he told them to wait a second then walked over with a plate of pickles as a side for me. I was utterly impressed and speechless by the amazing customer service I got, I have never gotten that type of service from any establishment I’ve been to and I’m very happy I did.

Food is very good and atmosphere is great.

We tried so many pies, simply delicious!!! The meat pie, the mixed cheese pie, the Akawi cheese pie, the keshek, labneh on Saj etc. We will definitely be coming back! Highly recommend this place!!

Now called Shami's and under new management. They are amazing! Great food and extremely nice staff!

They should make car air fresheners with the smells of their pies. Love this place. I hope they stay in Orleans for long time.
