First time at this place. Had house salad and sweet potato fries. Food was good and Patty was an excellent host.
Quick service, great options. It offers some Irish options, but mostly Canadian ones. Still, not bad for drink selection. My main issue is the price. Too many regular dishes are well into the 18 or 22 dollar range. I understand we're paying for convenience, but it's still high.
There's something odd with all these one star reviews. Having a boatload of time to kill, and relatively few options I figured I'd chance it for the sake of science.
I was seated into about 70% full restaurant (packed bar) at 5:21served, paid and left by 6:01. The thick calamari was difficult to fault in any way, the steak and mushroom Yorkshire entirely acceptable.
The only detection is that they where sold out of many of the beers I was looking at, but it sounds like a run on the bank happened earlier in the day. Airport pricing is in effect, but that's only what, a $2-$3 tax per item?
If there was such a dramatic turnaround, bravo for pulling it off. It almost seems like a smear campaign though. I certainly don't have any unmet expectations. It's franchise pub fare in an airport! And, beats that bar handily.
Good food, value in an airport with poor choice
There is very few food choices in the Ottawa airport after security.
This is one of the only sit down places and has the best value of those choices.
Food is always good and good portions for price.
Service is there but never great.
I come back because it’s the best choice still.
